Elena Procopi was born in Newport News, Virginia. After spending a portion of her childhood growing up in Germany, her and her family returned to Southern Virginia where she lived until 2010. In 2010, she graduated high-school and moved to Fairfax, Virginia to attend George Mason University. While in college, she interned with the Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services Unit Office of Probation and Parole and worked primarily on the Serious Habitual Offenders Community Action Program. Thereafter, she became a Deputy Clerk with the Loudoun County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
In 2013, she graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminology, Law and Society and left her clerkship to begin law school at George Mason University School of Law. While in law school, she competed through GMUSL’s Trial Advocacy Association. In 2014, she was a finalist in the Thacher Intramural Competition and received an award for best oral advocate. She was selected in 2015 to represent GMUSL at the Estrella Trial Advocacy Competition in Puerto Rico.
While in law school, during the summer of 2014, Elena began clerking at Biberaj and Snow, PC. In the summer of 2015, she interned at the Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office. With her third year practice certificate, she was lead counsel in her first bench trial before the Loudoun County Circuit Court. Elena graduated in May, 2016 with a Juris Doctor. After passing the Virginia State Bar, Elena began working as an associate attorney with Biberaj Snow & Sinclair, PC.
Elena is a member of the Loudoun County Bar Association, the Loudoun Chapter of the Virginia Women Attorney’s Association, the Fairfax County Bar Association, and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Her practice focuses primarily in civil litigation, criminal and traffic defense, expungements, estate planning and collections.
