Personal Statement:

I’ve wanted to be an attorney since I was a kid. Early in high school I watched my friends become players in a criminal justice system that they didn’t understand. The helplessness I felt at being unable to help them paved the way for me to pursue a career in the legal system. When I was in college the age old question of “What do you want to be when you grow up?” was already answered for me. While my classmates switched majors and took semesters of general education classes, I enrolled in the Criminology Law and Society program immediately.

While in college, I interned with the Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services Unit Office of Probation and Parole. Again, I found myself surrounded by kids who didn’t know anything about the system they’d become a part of, and whose families often didn’t have the tools or knowledge to help guide them through the legal process. My experiences there continued to guide me in the direction of law school and after graduation I immediately began law school at the George Mason University School of Law.After taking the first year of law school off to focus on my studies, I began clerking at Biberaj & Snow, PC. Biberaj & Snow, PC was a “hands-on” experience for me as a law clerk. I was able to interact with clients, draft pleadings, research complex legal issues, and shadow other attorneys to court. I immediately knew that this firm and this career were where I was meant to be. After clerking with Biberaj & Snow, PC for two years, I was hired by Biberaj Snow & Sinclair, PC as an associate attorney. Every day my job allows me to meet new people and help them through whatever legal issues they may be facing. Whether it is a couple planning for the disposition of their estate or a kid caught up in the legal system, I am changing people’s lives every day and helping people. That’s what being an attorney has always been about to me and I hope to spend the rest of my career helping people.
